Momma Mentor initiative

Have you faced challenges associated with your child's diagnosis? Are you looking for a way to give back and support others through the survivorship process? Do you use complementary and integrative therapies to help your child thrive in the face of challenges? Are you experienced with integrative medicine and quality of life care in the space of palliative and hospice care? Are you a bereaved mom who would like to help others? Join our Momma Mentor Program!

At MaxLove Project social support is a key facet of our BeSuper Action Plan. The Momma Mentor Initiative is an opportunity to foster positive and empowering social support and connection. Together we can improve outcomes by sharing evidence-based information and supporting each other through the rigors and challenges of treatment, survivorship, and bereavement.

Momma Mentors will be first included in a special support group and exclusive training program. After the initial training phase of the program is complete Momma mentors will be assigned to mentees by our program coordinator, Jill. Mentees will be able to find Momma Mentor bios on our website and indicate which mentor seems to resonate most with them by diagnosis, geographic location, etc. Momma Mentors will all have private Facebook groups to lend support. Our goal is for each Momma Mentor to have at most five mentees.

We are hoping to build the Momma Mentor Program to have many benefits and opportunities for both the mentor and mentee. Thanks for your interest in joining the MaxLove team in finding new ways to give back and support each other! Together, we are a community of hope!
