Meet our Junior Board Members

This group of amazingly talented and compassionate young leaders give their time and energy to organizing fundraising events, raising awareness for our cause within the community, and stepping up in times of need to support our families throughout the year.

  • “I was first introduced to MaxLove Project after I met and became friends with Max in elementary school. After seeing the great impact they had on the community and on families, I was drawn to help.”

  • “I joined the Junior Board to accompany a friend who previously had cancer who now also volunteers and is a member of the Junior Board. Volunteering for a good cause was a contributing factor for joining as well!”

  • “I joined the Junior Board two years ago because I remembered participating in all of the Rainbow Loom events when I was younger and wanted to learn more about the inner workings of the foundation. I have so many amazing memories from all of the events we’ve helped with, but by far my favorite has been the first JR Board Pickleball Tournament; watching that event go from an idea pitch to a full-fledged fundraiser was so rewarding.”

  • “I joined the Junior Board because after growing up with Max and MaxLove Project, I wanted to get involved. I have had the pleasure of watching MaxLove grow, and I wanted to be able to contribute to this nonprofit. The Junior Board has given me that chance.”

  • “Being part of MaxLove Project allows me to actively contribute to the community while also providing opportunities for personal growth. Joining the Junior Board, as suggested by Mr. Foshay, is an exciting prospect as it enables me to support an important cause, connect with new individuals, and enhance both my personal and academic development.”

  • "I joined the Max Love Junior Board to support a good cause. My favorite memory is the pickleball tournament.”

  • “I joined MaxLove Project’s Junior Board because I was at Max’s elementary school when he was diagnosed. I loved the awareness he brought through multiple events at the school and it is exciting to be a part of it all.”

  • "My journey with MaxLove Project began in sixth grade when my family invited the Wilford’s over for lunch and we got to know them. Since then, we have been close family friends and have attended or volunteered at every event MaxLove has to offer. I initially joined the Junior Board because my sister, Kaitlin, was leaving for college and needed someone to fill her spot. Her passion and love for MaxLove inspired me to get more involved and I ended up loving it as much as she does. My favorite event so far was the App-Off last Fall.”

  • “I joined the Junior Board to become more involved in my community while supporting a cause I am passionate about. I have since brought MaxLove Project to Foothill High School by creating a club to continue to spread awareness and support.”

  • “I joined the Junior Board because I’ve witnessed first-hand how MaxLove Project benefits pediatric cancer patients. Once I finished chemo, I wanted to give back to the amazing organization that helped me so much, so here I am!”

  • “I joined the Junior Board because I have been involved with MaxLove Project all the way back to Arroyo Elementary School when I first met Max Wilford and joined many events. I love the impact MaxLove has on my community, and it’s exciting to now be able to help the organization progress.”

  • “I first started supporting MaxLove Project when a family friend invited me to help out at the Farm to Fork dinner at Tanaka Farms. Listening to all the speeches and experiences inspired me to want to be more involved. I joined the Junior Board because I want to help give back to MaxLove families, connect with kids, and spread awareness about this cause and how others can help.”

  • “Mr. Foshay reached out and asked if I wanted to join the Junior Board with MaxLove. I said yes because I thought it was great way to improve as a person by helping our community and working with and meeting lots of new people. I feel it will also help in upcoming years as a high schooler for college.”

  • “I joined the Junior Board because I went to preschool with Max and I wanted to give back to such a great cause. I love the pickleball tournaments because it’s so fun to watch everybody have an amazing time while showing their love and support!”
