10 Years of Thriving Against the Odds

Fierce Friends,

Since we planted this seed in 2011, when our son Max was diagnosed with brain cancer, MaxLove Project has empowered tens of thousands of parents to learn what they can do outside the hospital to achieve maximum quality of life for their children fighting cancer.

This year we are profoundly grateful that we get to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of our mission to help childhood cancer families thrive against the odds. We've worked to fulfill this mission through tailored cooking classes, whole-family wellness resources and therapies, peer social support, and professionally designed and led health and wellness programs.

Until 2020, in-person programming was key to our impact. So when the pandemic hit last year, we were forced to pivot our programming exclusively online by fast-tracking our vision for a mobile app just for childhood cancer families. Out of the uncertainty and challenges presented by the pandemic lockdown, MaxLove Connect was born. This mobile app, exclusively for childhood cancer families, is flourishing today with live cooking classes, live expert Q & As, self-guided expert-designed workshops, facilitated social support, and a private, safe community for parents to share their journey.

In many ways, the challenges of this last year have sparked a whole new journey for MaxLove Project. We now have a fresh, groundbreaking blueprint for the next 10 years. None of this would have been possible without you, our fierce MaxLove community! Thank you for standing with us!

Throughout the rest of 2021, we're celebrating our journey of thriving against the odds by looking back at all we've accomplished together and sharing our vision for a trailblazing future. You'll see our 10th Anniversary represented in social media, email, fundraising, events, and family programming. We're so proud of how far we've come, and though we dream of the day when MaxLove Project is no longer needed, we'll continue to be here for childhood cancer families like ours, striving to live their best lives.

With love and hope,

Audra and Justin Wilford
