Savannah Community Garden & Teaching Kitchen

The Salvation Army, MaxLove Project, CoAxe Studio, and COR Compost are collaborating to build a community garden and culinary medicine teaching kitchen in the city of Savannah. We’re so excited to share this project with our community!

The project will consist of:

  • Community garden plots available for community members

  • A communal garden to feed our community in need

  • The Fierce Foods Kitchen culinary medicine center that includes a shipping container to house the mobile teaching kitchen, solar power, tables and seating for 200 people, audio-visual equipment, rainwater capture, 3-compartment sink, running water, and a garden to support the kitchen's activities.

  • A community composting center

  • Bees, bees and more bees!

  • Fruit orchard

  • Event space for farm-to-table dinners

The location is at The Salvation Army property in the garden next to the baseball field off of Kerry St. This site will be a hub of health and wellness in our community!

The draft site plans are viewable above. We’d love to hear your thoughts! Please share your comments, ideas and suggestions via the form below. Want to volunteer? Let us know in the form below.
